Conger Meat Market ("we," "our," or "the Company") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who receive automated SMS (text message) notifications from our retail store temperature monitoring system. This policy describes what information we collect, how it is used, and the rights you have regarding those communications.

This policy applies solely to SMS alert messages generated by our Home Assistant automation server and delivered via the Twilio messaging platform. It does not govern any other communications or data practices of Conger Meat Market.

Who receives these messages

SMS alerts are sent exclusively to employees and authorized personnel of Conger Meat Market who have provided written consent to receive such messages. We do not send promotional, marketing, or unsolicited messages of any kind through this system.

What information we collect

To deliver SMS notifications, we collect and store the following information:

• Employee name and job title or department
• Mobile phone number designated to receive alerts
• Mobile carrier (for notification purposes only)
• Date and record of written consent
• Message delivery logs maintained by Twilio (timestamps, delivery status)

We do not collect, sell, or share this information with third parties for any purpose other than delivering the operational alerts described in this policy.

How your information is used

Your mobile number and related information are used solely to:

• Send automated operational alerts regarding retail store cooler and freezer temperatures, refrigeration unit status, equipment warnings, and sensor fault notifications
• Maintain records of consent as required for compliance purposes
• Troubleshoot message delivery issues in cooperation with our Twilio service account

We will never use your mobile number for marketing communications, and your information will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to outside parties except as required by law or to provide the notification service described herein.

Message source & third-party service

Conger Meat Market does not share your personal information with Twilio beyond what is technically necessary to route and deliver SMS messages to your device.

Message frequency & carrier rates

Message frequency varies based on conditions in the retail store coolers and freezers. Alerts are triggered only when monitored temperatures or equipment status fall outside acceptable thresholds. Under normal operating conditions you may receive few or no messages. During refrigeration issues or equipment events, frequency may increase until the condition is resolved.

Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Conger Meat Market is not responsible for any fees charged by your carrier.

Your rights & opting out

Participation in this SMS notification program is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent at any time by:

• Notifying your supervisor or store manager in writing
• Submitting a written request to the contact below

Upon withdrawal of consent, your mobile number will be removed from the notification system within a reasonable time. Please be aware that opting out may affect your ability to receive time-sensitive temperature alerts relevant to your role.

You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you in connection with this program by contacting us using the information below.

Data retention

We retain your contact information and consent records for as long as you remain enrolled in the notification program, and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for recordkeeping purposes. Message delivery logs maintained by Twilio are subject to Twilio's own retention policies.

Data security

We take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information collected in connection with this program from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Access to consent records is limited to authorized management personnel only.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued participation in the SMS notification program following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
